Terms
Last updated: November 5, 2026
These terms cover mapofgrid.com, the map, Markets, and Map of Grid Pro. Using the site means you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What the site is
Map of Grid is an independent learning map of power plants and high-voltage lines. Counts and locations are estimates from public sources. They can be missing, old, or wrong. The moving dashes on lines are drawing style, not electricity flow. TRACE GRID walks lines whose endpoints meet. It is not a power-flow study, a contract path, or a record of how power is dispatched. SCAN GRID counts what is in view. Intel Brief is a capacity sketch. None of this is a control-room display.
The site is not affiliated with any utility, ISO, RTO, or government agency.
How you may use it
- Use it to learn, teach, and research.
- Do not use it to target critical infrastructure, to plan harm, or as operational advice for a utility or system operator.
- Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people, and do not present the figures as an official inventory.
- Markets lists names and tickers. Share and futures quotes are omitted on purpose. Nothing on that page is a solicitation or a recommendation to buy or sell.
Accounts and Pro
The map is free. An account is optional. Sign-in uses email or Google through a Supabase project used only by Map of Grid. Pro is $8 a month or $79 a year, billed by Stripe on Stripe’s page. Those are the prices charged now.
Paying does not unlock Pro by itself. Pro turns on when the webhook records an active or trialing subscription on your profile. Canceling keeps Pro until the period already paid ends. A past-due subscription does not stay Pro. Manage the subscription in Stripe. We do not see your full card number.
A page URL, a preview code, or a flag stored in the browser cannot grant Pro.
Ads
Free use may show ads if you accept them. Pro does not load the advertising script. Details are in the privacy policy.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We do not warrant that a plant, a line, a megawatt figure, or a company note is complete or current. Do not rely on it for safety, dispatch, engineering, or investment decisions.
